Elliot Road finally gets its widening contract. Staff are recommending council award $17,143,737.55 to HEI Civil for the Elliot Road corridor between the East Maricopa Floodway and Ellsworth Road. Today that stretch is still a two-way, two-lane rural road; the project turns it into a six-lane major arterial with raised medians, curb and gutter, sidewalk, roadside retention basins, traffic signals, street lighting, and median landscaping.
